Teru no Uta
From Studio Ghibli's Tales From Earthsea (Gedo Senki), Goro Miyazaki's directorial debut and arguably weakest Ghibli movie produced.
The song is performed by Aoi Teshima, who voiced Therru (Teru) in the movie. You can check out the scene here, too.
Cheers

Helloooooooo~
Thought I'd pop by. =D
I watched Earthsea! But I didn't get it. The plot was too jumpy, and every few minutes, the movie left me wondering "WHAT HAPPENED? WHY!!? HOW DID HE/SHE...", questions which never got answered.
But I heard that Ghibli's version of Earthsea was sort of like a combination of the 3 Earthsea books, or something like that? =/ Either way it was quite confusing.
Did you understand the show? @_@
=) hello! Ah, thanks for dropping by, always a pleasure to have more visitors.
Earthsea's story...Yeah, i think i did... roughly. I have yet to settle down and watch the second time; the movie is draggy and relatively flawed. i was sorely disappointed, but there were some good points; this song, in particular =).
Yeah, Ghibli's version combined the 1st, 3rd and 4th book, and the plot tweaked here and there. I haven't read the books, though, so i don't know how much it differs.
I'm looking forward to Ghibli's new release, Ponyo on a Cliff by the Sea. Waiting for the DVD now ^^
Hmm. I think Studio Ghibli has the amazing ability to keep coming up with really good movies, with the exception of Earthsea so far... I think its because Earthsea was done by the master's son?
Yeah, I wanna watch Ponyo on a Cliff by the Sea too!
T_T I really really respect Studio Ghibli. They're so traditional and SO mindblowing! Though I bet to actually work in there is to work yourself to death... =___=
Yup, Earthsea's director, Goro Miyazaki, is Hayao Miyazaki's son ^^
I'm not surprised if Ghibli work themselves to death; you can tell by looking at their release gaps. Most of them take a long time to screen, and i guess they're so meticulous they'd take as much time as they one.
In fact, the reason why Hayao Miyazaki keeps trying to go into retirement is because of the over-work; it led to the death of one of their directors, so reported. But master miyazaki himself is taking things slow now =)
Ponyo is, once again, his last and final work. Man, i can't wait for it anymore...
